My Day In Photos #2: Shells Surf Café Living Launch

If we're gonna be anal (leave it) about it this is My Evening In Photos.

Last night myself and my mum headed along to Shells Café in Strandhill for their new book - Surf Café Living - launch. I never got to go to their previous book launch (although I do own the book) so I was glad I was able to come along to this one.

Upon arrival one of the lovely girls who work there was quick to offer us a beverage - I chose prosecco because I'm so sophisticated and we moseyed along throughout the café to have a peek at the book and the delightful kitsch treats Shells Little Shop has on offer. I want all the things.

The new book is just as delightful as the debut, with a fresh and clean appearance this would look fabulous on any coffee table or in your kitchen. The book is full of décor, lifestyle, entertainment and decadent recipe ideas - I'd say this book is like a real life by-the-sea Pinterest board.

Canapés were on-hand - one of my favourite parts of any event - and we were entertained by delightful jazz music in the background. As always, the attention to detail was superb and the staff an absolute pleasure.

At one point during the evening Kian Egan walked in and mum nearly fell over herself, she was so starstruck. In true Irish fashion no one else batted an eyelid and I just played it cool because I am a sophisticate, as you all know.

All in all it was a great evening and I wish Jane and Myles great success with their venture.

If you're around Sligo or Strandhill, I highly recommend you check out Shells if you haven't already. The food is fantastic and the décor will make you wish you lived by the sea - trust me.

When we left the event we got to see the sun setting behind the waves, a truly picturesque moment that was the cherry on top of a beautiful evening.
